The goal of this project was to create a new minor league athletic team that was inspired by the location of the team. Tarpons are large aggressive fish native to the Floridian oceans growing up to 8 feet at roughly 270 lbs. This fish was a perfect representation for an aggressive football team based by the Florida Gulf.

After reviewing many color palette options, the choice for the color palette was gold, teals and black. These colors allow the team to connect to its origin representing the teal gulf ocean and gold Sunshine State.

The Tarpon was custom drawn using Procreate for sketches and Adobe Illustrator to vectorize the graphic. The graphic shows anger and aggression from the rigid pattern as well as the mascot’s facial features.
